Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, has pledged a N50 million reward to anyone who can present proof that he received any government contract during his brother’s tenure. Fayose made the announcement via a video posted on his Instagram account on Saturday, November 2, asserting that his success stems solely from his own business ventures and not from any favors or contracts awarded by his brother.
In the video, Fayose expressed frustration with ongoing rumors that he had benefitted from government funds, stressing that he had no involvement in state contracts. “Many of you claim I’m spending Ekiti money, but my brother did not award me any single contract as governor. I am willing to give N50 million to anyone who can prove otherwise,” he declared emphatically.
Fayose went on to emphasize his career as a businessman rather than a contractor, noting, “I’m a trader, not a contractor. My success has nothing to do with Ekiti funds or any government contract.” He added that he has grown weary of having his achievements attributed to his brother’s political influence, particularly as accusations against him continue to circulate.
“I’ve always covered up these rumors, but now it’s time to speak out,” Fayose stated, highlighting his intention to defend his reputation and continue advocating for the people of Ekiti.
