The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has officially prohibited the use of tinted glasses on vehicles within the FCT.
This move is aimed at enhancing security and public safety across the capital territory.
The decision was announced as part of new measures to curb criminal activities, as tinted glasses often hinder visibility, making it difficult for security operatives to identify occupants of vehicles.
This was made known by the FCT police PPRO, SP Josephine Adeh via the official social media handle
For now, the use of tinted glasses on vehicles is prohibited.
If your vehicle has tinted glasses, kindly remove them to avoid having your vehicle impounded by the police.
This is one of the measures implemented to combat the rising incidents of 'one chance' and other criminal activities in the FCT. she wrote
The FCTA has urged residents to comply with this directive, emphasizing that violators will face penalties, including fines or vehicle impoundment.
