The tragic incident in Dalwa, Borno State, where an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion claimed the lives of two individuals, underscores the ongoing security challenges in the region.
According to Channels Television, the explosion occurred on Wednesday around 1 PM at a 200-housing estate under construction in Dalwa.
This event coincided with the commissioning of housing estates in Maiduguri, the state capital, by Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum and his Yobe counterpart, Mai Mala Buni
A source told Channels Television that a similar incident occurred on Tuesday but with no details.
Dalwa is 175 kilometres from Maiduguri and is one of the many communities destroyed and displaced by the Boko Haram terrorists.
