In a commendable act of honesty, a Nigerian man, Benkingsley Nwashara, has returned ₦5 million that was mistakenly transferred to his bank account.

The funds, sent by a company identified as Sliding Towers Global Limited, were credited to Nwashara's Fidelity Bank account. Realizing the error, Nwashara took immediate action by reporting the incident to the Ogui Police Station in Enugu, where he formalized the process of returning the money.

The incident, which Nwashara shared on X (formerly Twitter), drew widespread attention. He posted receipts of the transfer as proof of his actions, stating,
Quote
"Someone mistakenly sent me ₦5,000,000 (Five Million Naira) to my Fidelity Bank account. In this fvcking hard time?"

His decision to return the money despite the challenging economic times has earned him widespread praise on social media, with many users lauding his integrity and sense of responsibility.

Nwashara's actions serve as a reminder of the importance of honesty, even in difficult circumstances, and have sparked conversations about ethics and morality in Nigeria.
