
No fewer than 392 Nigerians have been repatriated from Niger Republic by the federal government.
It was gathered that the National Emergency Management Agency on Monday, welcomed the Nigerian returnees from the neighboring country, at the Immigration Training School on Airport Road, Kano State.
In a statement shared via its X page, on Monday, NEMA disclosed that 392 persons arrived Nigeria around 3:05PM, and were registered for proper documentation and access to necessary support.
NEMA said:
“The group, totalling 392 individuals, arrived at approximately 3:05 PM. The returnees were profiled and registered upon arrival to ensure proper documentation and access to necessary support.
“Among the returnees were 176 adult males, 122 adult females, and 94 children, including 78 boys and 16 girls.
“The event was marked by robust participation of partners such as the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), the Kano State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), the Nigerian Immigration Services, the Nigerian Red Cross Society, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons.”
