To ensure credible elections next month, the United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK) have set aside N5.4 billion to assist the Independent National electoral Commission (INEC).

US Under Secretary for Democracy and Global Affairs Ms Maria Otero made this known yesterday in Minna, the Niger State capital.  She spoke  when she visited Governor Muázu Babangida Aliyu.

The envoy said both  countries placed high priority in the forthcoming elections, which, she said, was germane to Nigeria’s stability.

Otero said the money was meant to assist INEC in mobility and logistics.
