A Nigerian woman is seeking advice from the public after revealing her struggles with her husband, whose ongoing infidelity and financial neglect have left her questioning the future of their 18-year marriage. Taking to a popular relationship platform, the woman, who has been married for nearly two decades and has five children with her husband, expressed frustration over his actions and the toll it has taken on their family.
In her message, she shared how her husband, who is nearing 50, has become a deadbeat, leaving her as the sole breadwinner. Despite her efforts to support him, including starting a business for him, it quickly collapsed due to his inappropriate relationships with employees. She also revealed that his affairs had disastrous consequences, as one of the employees allegedly infected him with a virus, which he then passed on to her.
“Good day Auntie Momoza, I’m married to a man who no longer works while I carry the burden of providing for our family. I tried to help him start a business, but he slept with the staff, and the business collapsed. Now, we are dealing with the fallout from that, including a health issue. He is almost 50, and I’m exhausted,” she wrote.
The woman also expressed fear over the consequences of divorce, revealing they are married under the community of property system, which means she could lose her assets, while her husband has nothing. She also mentioned that his recent affairs have involved individuals connected to her work, further deepening her distress.
As the woman faces a tough decision, her message has sparked a wave of support and advice from netizens, many offering empathy and insights into her difficult situation.
