Bishop David Oyedepo on Saturday March 26th added another jet to his hanger, for a whooping $30m. Thus bringing the number of his private jets to four. The private jet, a Gulfstream V was declared to the over 10, 000 worshipers who thronged Canaanland on Sunday March 27th, by the bishop himself. The bishop said the new jet will be used exclusively for the ministry's African Mission. In his speech on Sunday, the bishop also announced that a state-of-the art private aircraft hanger that can accommodate five jets at a time is being built for his jets near the international wing of Murtala Mohammed International Airport.
Apart from this latest acquisition, the bishop has a Gulfstream 1 which he acquired in 1996. A Gulfstream 4 and a Challenger Aircraft.
When Encomium contacted the spokesperson for the church, Mr William, he confirmed the story. "Yes, Bishop announced the purchase of a jet on Sunday" He said.

This pastor is not a business mogul, or is he? Maybe i'm being naive, oh pardon my ignorance, he has a big flourishing private church business with branches in different parts of the world. Surely, the contributions from these branches have helped to make him the business mogul that he is. Of course, a big business mogul needs a private jet to criss-cross his numerous businesses across the world. I would like to secure a job with this pastor, he looks like he may pay well

While christ fed the multitude with two loaves of bread and 2 fish, it was not recorded any where that he came to the preaching ground on a chariot of stallions. Not that he could not do it, but owing to the fact that there are existing means of transportion that could do thesame, I presume Christ did not find it relevant to show up on a chariot of stallions. His main objective was to take the message(eternal life) of his father to all, and still remain humble as a foot print for us to follow. I know that over time the world has constantly interpreated the Bible to soot their prevailing culture and therefore anyone for that matter could argue this fact either way. But if we live the humble life which Christ himself portrayed while he was on earth then those excesses that raises eye brows will be nonexistent. Christ was on earth but was not of the earth (material earth). When a supposed man of God start collecting private jets like souvenirs then am forced to question the intention whether it is for show off or just to get over to other branches faster to harvest offerings? Well, whatever the intentions are, God knows best. So many will be taken by surprise on the last day.
