Should the opinion of the parents of both the man and woman be respected
 as regards whether their son or daughter should marry a particular person or not ?

if you listen to everything ur parents dictate to you, you go miss way. because they want you to live yr life the way they want it and thats impossible because they r not God.

of course u shoukd respect your parents opinion , but u must not do everything people say , learn to seperate the good from the bad and ur parents love u say they will always want the best for you

They shouldn't even come in between them, not to talk of opinion. They should only ask their children if they're happy with what they found and make them understand what it is to be pronounce Man and woman, support them, thats all.
