Can anyone live without food?

Maybe for some days but not for very long.  Without food, soon one will become weak.  The body is now in the beginning stages of starvation.  Then organs inside the body will began to work improperly.  Soon after that, the body organs will not work at all and the person will die (physically).

The word of God is food for Christians.  Without God's word, we soon become weak.  We enter into the stages of spiritual starvation.  We may not think like we are suppose to, we may not talk like we're suppose to, and we definitley may not act like we're suppose. We usually then open ourselves to attack in certain areas of life from the enemy.  Though, we will not die spiritually, it's a very dangerous place to be in.  The devil will pull out strategies to keep the person off balance, even try to have the person blame the things he are doing to them on God, and try to set up situations that press the person into doing things that will displease God.  ***If the person listens to satan and his lies, and act on them; the person has now given the devil access/permission to operate in their life.  Though with their mouth the person will speak a different thing.  If the person keeps going, by the time one even look back, they could find themselves very far away from God.  *******If the person rebukes the devil and listens to God because God will have been advising the person way before this point.  The person will began eating again (reading the word of God) and gain their strength back to escape the traps that were set by the devil.

>>>>>>>The word of God quenches our thirst for the things of this world<<<<<<<<<

Every chance we get, it's always good for us to read the Bible.  Faith grows through hearing the word of God and the Bible is life-giving. It tells us how to have a good marriage, how to treat our children, how children are to treat their parents, how to have a good business, how to treat people and how to forgive people.  It also warns us of what not to do so we don't bring extra pains to our life and shares real life examples.  It exposes all the tricks that the devil could every use to attack us and how we are to stand firm against them in victory.  It's liberating.

Like eating food you're not use to eating but know it's good for you, at first; one may not have a taste for it.  With time, one will began to enjoy it and love it.  It may start like this, if one is not use to reading the Bible everyday.  The devil will be giving so many suggestions of other things one could be doing and whispering different things so that the mind can wander.  Don't mind him...rebuke the devil in Jesus name/tell him to go in Jesus name and keep reading.  Even if one chooses to start with one Bible verse, write it down and/or memorize it.  During different times of the day/no matter what happens good and/or bad say the Bible verse to yourself (or out loud if you wish).  If the attacks seem to get worse, it's a trick of the devil to make you stop because you're on the right track... just read the Bible even more.  When the devil sees you mean business, he will leave you on this issue.

Prayer is also very important, it is how we communicate with God.  It helps get us inline to hear and act on what God speaks to us.  It goes along with reading the Bible.  The more you read the Bible, the more clearly you'll hear God speak to your heart.  The word of God give us strength so that when storms do come, they won't knock the wind out of us.  It gives us the strength to endure and see victory.

Psalm 139:1-4
O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.  You know when I sit down or stand up.  You know my every thought when far away.  You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest.  Every moment you know where I am.

El Shaddai,
God of more than enough, we thank and praise you for another day.  We lift our hands up high and give you the highest praise...hallelujah!  In these times, may your people remember to stay spiritually healthy in everyway.  Lord, those that do not know you, we pray a true follower of Jesus Christ cross their path and they accept your free gift of life through Jesus Christ.  Heavenly Father, we are forever grateful to you for who you are and all you do.  Lord, we thank you always in Jesus name, amen.

Mind, Body and Spirit

Genesis 1:26 says:
And God said, Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepth upon the earth.

God blessed them, Adam and Eve, and said they should be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fowl in the air and everything that moves on the earth. The first man and woman, Adam and Eve began in the garden of Eden having everything they could ever need.  They were perfect, being complete with mind, body and Spirit...God's Spirit.  God blessed them.  They have no lack of any kind in any area of life.  God even gave mankind dominion over all the earth.  There was only one tree, the tree of knowledge of good and evil that God said they should not eat from or they will surely die.

Satan came along in the form of a serpent, and planted a subtle thought in Eve's mind.  A thought that caused her to believe God was withholding something good from her, when the truth was she had everything good.  It started with just a thought, and soon after Eve acted...she ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and Adam also ate from the tree, they very tree God said they should not eat from.  It happened as God said, and at that moment, Adam and Eve spiritually died.  Adam and Eve were complete with mind, body and spirit...after Adam and Eve sinned, they died spiritually and were now only mind and body.  This is now the condition of mankind..the condition of every man/woman born on earth...mind and body.

In the state of spiritual death, mankind sins grew more and more. The sins grew so much and more terrible that God gave us the law...the 10 Commandments, in order to keep mankind physically alive long enough until the Messiah arrived.  If no restraint was put in place to keep mankind from sinning, all of mankind could have been drenched in sin, leaving no virgin to be found.  With the law came immediate judgment for committing a sin.  The wages of sin equaled death, physical death.

Although the law had incredible value, it did not have the power to transform.  Sacrifices (animal) only covered the sins of the people but the sacrificial system could not transform anyone.  It could not give them a clear conscience and it did not deliver people from the internal sense of lack.  It could not make people righteous, nor give people the sense of wholeness.  The law did not give people the power to break free from the endless cycle of sin, cleanse from sin; sin, cleanse from sin, and so on.

Hebrew 10:1 reads:"For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year make the comers thereunto perfect".

Perfect as is whole, and complete...with mind, body and Spirit, God's Spirit.

Mankind was to pay the price of sin, which is death.  Spiritual death, followed by a physical death....sin kept mankind separated from God.

But in came Jesus...

Jesus Christ, our Messiah and Savior...he brings spiritual life.  The very life that is needed for those who are spiritually dead, to live again.  This is why we say born again.  It is a spiritual re-birth.  With the acceptance of Jesus Christ, one receives spiritual life and the person becomes perfect again.  Perfect as in whole...complete with mind, body and Spirit...God's Spirit

Almighty God,

What have you not done for us?  Nothing at all.  You know our hearts and you also know that many do not realize what it truly means to die in their sins.  Thank you for being so just, so merciful and so loving towards us.  We don't deserve it one bit, oh Father but we thank you for offering the free gift of life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Father, there is a lot happening in Lagos (Nigeria), let your people take the authority that you have given to them, step out boldly in faith and overcome all the power of the enemy..in Jesus name.  Your people are mighty warriors for the Messiah in spiritual warfare, let us act accordingly...in the all powerful name of Jesus, the Christ, amen.

Mind, Body and Spirit   Part 2/Final

As shared previously, mankind spiritually died in the garden of Eden.  Mankind was perfect with mind, body and Spirit (God's Spirit) but when man sinned, man died spiritually.  When one is born, they are born with mind and body only.

This is why works can not make anyone whole again..complete with mind, body and Spirit.  Being a nice person can not make anyone whole.  Helping people who need help can not make one whole.  Pretending to be a Christian can not make one whole.  Being in church every time the doors are open can not make one whole.  Preaching the word of God does not make one whole again.  Performing healings, signs and wonders can not make one whole.  No matter what man does, he alone can not give himself/herself spiritual life.  It's impossible.  It's like someone saying they can walk (not drive) to Abuja from Lagos in 12 hours time.  It is just not possible.

Here is also the difference between religion and Christianity.  Religion is mans way to reach God.  Christianity is God's way to reach man.

Yes, we did it to ourselves.  Mankind brought sin into the world but God loves us so much that he prepared away to save us from ourselves, through Jesus Christ.  He gives us so many chances to get it right because of the great love he has for us.

>>>  Jesus Christ is spiritual life and without him, one remains spiritually dead.  <<<

When one sincerely asks for forgiveness and accepts Jesus Christ into their life, they are a new creation.  They are once again mind, body and Spirit..perfect and complete.  And is now very much equipped to overcome the devil and all his lies.  Praises to Jehovah!!!

But, also if one is fatibobo before they accept Jesus Christ, they will still be fatibobo after they accepted Jesus Christ.  Oh God does miracles everyday but many things are a process,,.a purging process.  It's not by force either, as some believe.  What God usual does is speaks to the person's heart about being healthy, then give them desire to get healthy and the Holy Spirit will help them along the way.  This is how it may happen with many things that is not suppose to be in our life.  Also know that if one is truly born again, to continually stay in sin will be an uncomfortable something...can't really put it into words.  But, one will not be able to just keep sinning, if they are truly born again. As a person grows in God's word, the taste for sin will gradually grow faint.

John 20:31
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2 Timothy 1:1
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,

2 Timothy 1:10
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:.

Lover of our soul...and great God,
We praise your Holy name Almighty Father.  Thank you for not giving us what we deserve, death.  Thank you Jesus for paying our sin debt for us once and for all.  Thank you Jesus for taking our place.  You died on the cross to save us from eternal spiritual death.  Hallelujah...death could not keep you down!  For you have risen and all glory to the Great I Am.  Lord, let your spirit comfort the youth... heal their hearts and mend their spirits.  We pray for their protection where ever they may be at this very moment...in Jesus name.  May the youth look to you dear God, our only source of help.  We ask these things in Jesus marvelous name, amen.

I would like to share a devotion I received from Greg Laurie's ministry.  (Permission granted by Havest Ministry)

It's God's Work

I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.

1 Corinthians 3:6–7
You cannot really find an instance in the New Testament of anyone who came to faith apart from another person's involvement. Although there are exceptions, this is how most people become Christians.

Take for example, the Philippian jailer, whose conversion is recorded in Acts 16. God could have reached him in many ways, but He chose to use Paul and Silas, whom he allowed to be imprisoned for preaching the gospel. They were mistreated by this jailer, but when an earthquake struck and the jailer faced execution because the prisoners would have gone free, Paul and the others chose to stay in the prison. The jailer asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" (Acts 16:30), and the Bible tells us that not only did the jailer come to faith, but so did his entire household.

Another example is found in the story of Cornelius, a centurion in the Italian Regiment who had a heart to know God. An angel appeared to him and told him he needed to talk to a guy named Simon Peter, who was in Joppa. So Cornelius sent for Peter, and Peter shared the gospel with Cornelius.

Even Saul of Tarsus, whom we know as Paul, was converted on the Damascus Road, having a direct encounter with Jesus. Yet he had his heart opened and softened through the testimony of young Stephen, the first martyr of the church who prayed as he was dying, "Lord, do not charge them with this sin" (Acts 7:60).

Yes, God uses people to reach people, but God is the one who saves them—not us. This seems rather obvious, but sometimes we forget it. God will prepare a person's heart to hear and receive the gospel. He uses us, but He is the one who does the work.

Heavenly Father,
We praise you for blessing us to see another day.  Continue to bless our family and friends near and far.  Let us continue to examine ourselves to see whether we are in accordance to your word and will.  Let us show compassion and more importantly love to others where ever we find ourselves.  Let us always remember that nothing is too big for you.  Nothing is permanent...change can take place in just one moment.  Bless the Lord, the lover of our souls.  Thank you for hearing and answering our prayer great I Am in the name of Jesus, amen.

If one does not believe in the promises God gives, if one has not seen the power He demonstrates,  if one prays and does not ever expect their prayer to be answered and gets just that...then that person might agree with your opinion.

Ok, I now understand and agree to a point.  Though, there are many Nigerians who continue along the path that you shared above, there are also Nigerians who are striving to live for God.  Our prayers will help encourage those ones who are striving to live for God, and who can also reach the ones in Nigeria who are reachable.  There are so many waiting for a true believer to cross their path....they just don't know it yet.

My dear, those who choose to stay on the wrong path, does not take away from what God continues to do in the lives of those who choose the right path.  It seems our focus is in two different directions?

How can I receive forgiveness and eternal life through Jesus Christ?

1.  Admit you are a sinner.
2.  Repent-turn away from sin.
3.  Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried and rose from the dead.
(Romans 10:9-10...That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.)
4.  Invite Jesus into your life and to become your personal Savior through prayer.
(Romans 10:13...For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.)
-Savior means, one who delivers from trouble, sin or judgment.
-Saved means, rescue or preserve from danger, deliver from sin.

The Prayer:

Dear God,
I am a sinner and need forgiveness.  Please forgive me all my sins.  I believe Jesus Christ
shed His precious blood for me, died for my sins and rose on the 3rd day.  Jesus I invite you to come into my heart and into my life as my personal Savior.  Thank you Jesus for saving me, amen.

If you have said this prayer:
You are saved and is a new creation…amen!
All of heaven is rejoicing for YOU!

You now have new life!
Just as a baby can not be born today and began to do everything adults do, it is the same for those who are babies in Jesus Christ.

To help you grow and learn about Jesus:
1.  Read the Bible (many say an older KJV or King James Version) everyday.
2.  Talk to God in prayer everyday.
3.  Fellowship/attend a Bible believing and doing Church. A church that believe the Bible is the final authority.  And be baptized.

We welcome you to the family of God*******
