is it adviceable to marry a man who lives in the uk while the wife is in Nigeria with the promise that after like 6months or 1years he will have put papers together to take the wife over. pls think very well before you comment here.

most nigeria Ladies think its save but i dnt feel same way becos anytin can happen along the line so i prefer he put all papers together before we get married so that after marry we both can go together not leaving the wife in nigeria for some time.

To be frank most often that type of marriage fails. I know of a guy that left his Nigerian wife here in Niger with one daughter for years. His wife have married another man now after waiting for so many years for her husband.

The truth of the matter is that it may be impossible to have all the document that will allow the woman travel with him immidiately after marriage. Most times only marriage will give the woman the the right to that and until they are legally married , getting those papers will be practically impossible.Waiting for the documents to be ready for six months is not a big deal but she should make sure that there is no deciet on the mans part (having a wife over there or staying in an illigal situation etc)

If you wish to stay in such marriage, is your choice but one thing i will advise whosoever is in such situation is this.. Do not try to get pregnant until u join him ov there in UK, once you got preggy for him while still in Nigeria, U're doomed to stay longer than you think.

Seriously i see many Nigerian women doing it, but HELL NO for me.
I can not let my husband travel, and just wait till he's ready for me to come. Besides many men end up having
a relationship or marriage with somebody else...While u are in Naija, u have no clue what is going on in UK.

The most important thing here is TRUST plus plenty dose of PATIENCE, it is not easy been in a long distance relationship.
If all the numerous wedding fanfare have been done, it shouldn't take more than SIX MONTHS, for the MRS to join her MR in the UK.

This is the best advice u will get, DK is smart o.The fact is u will have to marry him in Nigeria so as to get ur papers as a spouse which takes about 6 months or if u are not married,he will have to get ur papers as a fiancee which takes a longer time.
