Speaking with journalists, he said that the airline expected to conduct a hitch free service as was the case the previous year, and added that a number of travel agencies have registered with the airline.
Dahiru said a total of 500 passengers in the first batch of the operation were airlifted last Wednesday and pointed out that a discount of 10 percent of the total package was given to each intending passenger. This was just as he said that the reduction has attracted so many passengers to the airline.
The spokesman said some measures have been put in place to ensure that only people with integrity were given the opportunity to board the airline in order to avoid cases of absconding of passengers.
Alhaji Dahiru noted that the airline was fully prepared for both this year’s lesser hajj and the next hajj operations and pointed out that five of its planes have undergone regular check to conform to aviation rules.
