Singer Tekno Disqualified From The Headies ‘Next Rated’ Award Category

Despite his huge success in 2016, Pana crooner Tekno who got a nomination in the ‘next rated’ category at the 2016 Headies awards has been disqualified from the awards.

Organizers say Tekno’s nomination was withdrawn after he failed to participate in any of the pre-award activities including photo shoots and interviews. Recall that Tekno had earlier called out The Headies saying he was nominated in the wrong category.

His disqualification leaves Aramide, Humblesmith, Mr Eazi and Ycee as contenders in that category. Our music crew reached out to Ubi Franklin for his reaction and but declined to speak on the matter.

Please take your award to your kitchen ok because Tekno don't need if you want to know Tekno is best artist of the year, best beat of the year. That award is from me Tekno try come to my house and take it
