some times i see a lot of ladies parading with engagement rings like its an award from an Olympic game and i wonder why men dont wear engagement rings to also show people that he is also engaged, for me i think its absolute nonsense if you want to marry me as a wife come to my village and the do the right thing instead of giving me some piece of ring to parade as an engaged woman.
lol..game player...u dont want to chase ur customers away with de ring abi?

Lol  does the ring change anything? i just dont see reasons for the ring
it does..when u are on the ring, other guys will know dat someone has marked u and for dat reason, if it is a guy dat has brains, he wont even woo u not to talk of disturbing u

you can only say that for urself, most guys no send ur ring , they will tell you it doesnt matter
only de stupid ones does that

get me right most men who engages ladies have not even met with the family of the lady and she is already wearing his ring, does the ring engaged a girl or is it when the man meet with the family of the lady to declare his intention and the girl accepting to marry the guy in the presence of both families .......................that is what i call engagement.

I see it as a physical sign of commitment while we plan for the wedding proper.....that also serves to keep other interested parties away, at least it gives me a breather so that I wont have to do a lot of explanation.....ask me for a relationship and all I do is show you my left hand........little action that speaks volume!

Okay, i can almost swear that i av told this story b4 but again, here goes.....
A ring is sweet and its a sign that you belong to someone, apparently a long time ago during cavemen romance when a man saw a woman he liked, he would find a big stick hit her over the head and drag her to his cave for some serious love, lol, the woman after regaining conciousness would try to run away numerous times and the man would tie her down to prevent her from running away when he had to go out. They keep doing this till she becomes submissive and learns to live with the man and so the man finds a string and ties it to her finger to let other cavemen know she belongs to him and not to club her and drag her away. So either way, as long as u realize the ring means stay d phyuk away from me, that's all that matters.

Most Women Parade theirs cos they wanno show off after months/years of Desperation and worries that they will be Single for too Long. Marriage is an Achievement as far as Nigerian Women are Concerned

And as for tha Village Ceremony and all, what yu want personally is yur decision and if the man is not the Traditional type and yu really care for him, would yu send him away if he doesn't agree 2 yur "Terms"?

like i always say....ring is just a fashion...just to tell people or guys that you are taken already....however,some girls just use is to decieve themselves....they put on the engagement ring for guys not to bother them, where as,they are still single.
but your heart is were the commitment is.

I agree with this!
