"I’m better than that!" - These were the words of tennis star, Serena Williams as she is being interviewed by the correspondent at the end of her Australian Open match with Chinese player, Qiang Wang whom she was expected to defeat. Williams hinted at some major indicators of over confidence as also said: "I was optimistic that I would be able to win. I thought, `OK, now finish this off.’ I honestly didn’t think I was going to lose that match,". All in all it was a bad and disappointing night for Serena as she has been looking for the elusive major grand slam ever since returning from child birth, she has always being at the bring of getting it when things like this comes up and disrupts the whole process.
Some people are expecting the former tennis legend to consider retirement after this attempt, but it is still left to be seen if retirement is something that is on Serena Williams mind. Here is a footage from the match with Qiang Wang.
