Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso, the Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has talked about the 2023 elections. He said that Nigerians will be shocked with the outcome of the presidential poll.  Exuding confidence that he will emerge winner at first ballot, the former Kano Governor denied talks for possible alliance with the presidential candidate of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar ahead of the February 25 contest.

Atiku told the Hausa Service of the BBC That he was  holding talks with the candidates of the NNPP and Labour Party(LP) Peter Obi, saying one of them may likely step down and work with him.But speaking on Sunrise Daily on Channels Television, Kwankwaso described such statement as reckless.  He said he was not involved in any form of alliance talk with any candidate in the election.

He said the NNPP remains the only party in the presidential race aBosom  with the problems of the people as they have carried their campaign to the grassroots, travelling by road to all cities for their rallies. He said it was unfortunate that well respected people have decided to go live on national television to tell lies and disgrace themselves to sell their candidate. He said the NNPP enjoyed being under rated by other parties, adding that he was not in a hurry to become President.  He said the party has the required number to win the elections on first ballot and was not considering any form of alliance with any party.
