Naira Redesign: "I Want To Remove Money From Politics" – Buhari Makes Confession

President Muhammadu Buhari has admitted that part of his plan for approving the redesign of the Naira notes is to minimize the use of money during the political season.

Buhari made this known on Thursday morning during a nationwide broadcast.

According to him, Nigerians should go out and vote for their preferred candidate during the February 25 elections.

“Fellow citizens, on the 25th of February, 2023 the nation would be electing a new President and National Assembly members.

“I am aware that this new monetary policy has also contributed immensely to the minimization of the influence of money in politics.

“This is a positive departure from the past and represents a bold legacy step by this administration, towards laying a strong foundation for free and fair elections,” Buhari said.

Whoever convinced him that the new monetary policy will take money out of politics is really good at hoodwinking! The politicians are already in possession of billions, only the masses are suffering and they will now accept anything to vote whoever out of desperation. BUBU wake up! This is genius thinking by Emefiele and a solid backing by Buhari and me. It will not eliminate vote buying entirely, but it will limit it drastically. Politicians can only lay hold of available money. When it is not available in the quantity they want, they cant print their own. GENIUS.

When we see good governance. When we experience the true dividends of democracy. When we realize that we made the right choice by not selling our votes, then there will be no need to redesign the Naira, because vote buying will be obsolete.
