President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Niger Delta Militant, Asiri Dakubo are currently in a closed-door meeting at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock, Abuja. As of the time of filing this report, the details of the meeting are yet to be ascertained, and the agenda of the meeting remained undisclosed. But it is believed that the meeting may be part of the President’s ongoing consultations with opinion leaders from the Niger Delta region.
Tinubu had, during the week, met with some other key figures from the region, including the former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Timi Alaibe, and former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA). Dr Dakuku Peterside. However, Dakubo is well known for being one of the President’s most ardent supporters in the Niger Delta region.
