In celebration of Nigeria's 64th Independence Anniversary, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will deliver a nationwide broadcast at 7 a.m. on October 1, 2024.
This was announced by Bayo Onanuga, the President's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, in a statement released on Monday, September 30. Onanuga noted that the broadcast is a key event in the activities marking the nation's independence celebrations.
Television and radio stations, alongside other electronic media, are encouraged to connect to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for live coverage of the President's address.
President Tinubu’s last national address took place during the #EndBadGovernance protests in August.
