VIDEO: Four Burnt to Death As Diesel-Laden Tanker Explodes in Agbor Town, Delta State

No fewer than four persons were burnt to de@th while three others sustained various degrees of injuries following the explosion of a diesel-laden tanker at Agbor town in Delta State on Sunday, January 5.

The diesel tanker was said to have suffered a brake failure and fell at a traffic light junction at Agbor, which resulted in an explosion that burnt four people to de@th.

Several vehicles and houses were burnt despite frantic efforts by sympathisers to put out the fire that engulfed the tanker.

Reacting to the sad incident, the state governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of victims of the fire incident. He described the fire incident as horrifying and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured and fortitude to those bereaved in the unfortunate incident.

Governor Oborevwori, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, directed the State Ministry of Health, the State Emergency Management Agency, and other relevant authorities to expedite action by providing the much-needed immediate support to all victims of the incident.

The Delta State Governor commended the Fire Service, the good people of Ika South Local Government, and security agencies who rallied round to put out the inferno and their dedication to assisting those affected by the fire incident.

Am a driver, and most times I dey encounter all this heavy duty truck on the roads, a well experienced driver expecially if you are living in a place like nigeria, you need to always be far ahead from them, always avoid them on high way, most of them no dey get brake, if you want to overtake them, make sure the road is very clear before you overtake, most of this heavy duty drivers are always on hard drugs, that's the worst part now, Nigeria road safety their own na to dey collect money no basic Infrastructure Sad
