Fashola said this in Central Lagos, on Wednesday, adding that the buildings to benefit from the new power input would include Lagos Island General Hospital, the state High Court, the State House, Marina and 24 streets.
Addressing a crowd of party leaders, members and supporters at a mega rally of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) at the site of Phase II of the Oluwole Shopping Complex, Governor Fashola said more buildings and streets would benefit as the capacity of the IPP increased.
Listing some of the achievements of his administration on the Island in the last four years, Governor Fashola recalled the controlled demolition of the Bank of Industry (BoI) building, which partially collapsed and was left hanging by the Federal Government for several years, before his administration demolished it through an implosion.
He called on the people to vote massively for all ACN candidates at all levels during the elections, while enjoining them to ensure that they participated in all voting exercises and to protect their votes.
In his earlier remarks, the former governor of the state, Senator Bola Tinubu, said the ACN rally was for the liberation of the people of Nigeria, adding that the ACN was on a mission to liberate Nigerians from economic bondage.
Also at a pre-election prayer session and lecture organised by Fatima Charity Foundation, at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, on Wednesday, Fashola called on all Nigerians to come out en masse and vote for the ACN during the elections.
, describing it as "a critical process towards ensuring free and fair elections."
He said if Nigerians truly wanted free and fair elections, this was the momentous occasion and what represented the easiest way was to go out en masse and cast votes.
