The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) won in Uyo federal constituency, the results for Ikot Abasi/ Eastern Obolo was not ready as at the time of filling this report.
The two senatorial districts of Eket and Ikot Ekpene were also won by the PDP.
Helen Esuene and Aloysius Etuk of the PDP had 208197 votes and 383607 to win in Eket and Ikot Ekpene districts respectively.
PDP won federal constituency seats in Abak, Etinan, Oron, Ikono, Eket, Ikot Ekpene and Itu.
In Abak, Emmanuel Ekon had 101274; Daniel Akpan won with 30576 votes in Etinan; Robinson Uwak won with 62433 votes in Oron; Ini Udoka won with 36459 votes in Ikono; Saviour Udo won with 142210 votes in Ikot Ekpene; Archibong Kenneth won with 38253 in Itu; while Bassey Akpan won with 83266 votes in Eket.
In Uyo, where ACN won, Emmanuel Ekpenyong scored 41436 votes, to defeat the PDP candidate, Ekere Afia with 32979.
PDP's statement
The Vice Chairman of PDP in the state, Samuel Akpan said though the party won in all the constituencies announced, they were not happy that they lost in Uyo. He however said the party would not contest the results.
Unconfirmed reports yesterday evening was that 16 persons were killed in Ibiono Ibom arising from the hijacking of election materials in the area.
Efforts to get the comment of police spokesperson, Onyeka Orji was not successful as he did not pick his calls.
Meanwhile policemen were seen patrolling the streets of Uyo while election results were being announced.
It is believed the patrols were a measure to stem any uprising that may arise from the announcements.
