Nollywood actor, Emeke Ike has been appointed sports ambassador at the Rhythm ‘N’ Play event which took place on June 6 at the Velodrome of the Abuja National Stadium.
He was photographed with President Goodluck Jonathan who launched the inaugural campaign.
Ike whose job is to help promote grassroots sport in the country, recently spoke to Vanguard Newspaper revealing why he stopped fighting the Actors Guild of Nigeria leadership. “My wife pleaded with me that for the sake of our children, I should forget about the AGN palaver. She said to me that those whom I’m fighting for are not even recognising what I’m doing for them. ‘My husband, please let go the matter for the sake of our children,’” Emeka said.
