When you think of men’s fashion week, you think: Hot models. Wacky clothes. Zayn Malik in the front row. You typically don’t think: Kendall Jenner. Naomi Campbell. Thong underwear. But no one ever called Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci predictable.
Tisci, the brand’s creative director, summed up his vision for his Paris men’s show as “bad boys and bad girls.” And to prove it, he sent out both his full run of men’s clothing (lots of denim, religious iconography and grunge elements) as well as an almost-equally full complement of female models. Jenner hit the catwalk in a pale pink lingerie-inspired gown with a skirt consisting of swingy fringed tassels, although her rehearsal outfit — a black-and-white sweater, belted black jeans and a bandana — was almost equally noteworthy.
But it was Campbell, 45, who turned heads so hard they could induce whiplash in her Givenchy outfit, consisting of a blazer, a tiny G-string bikini, thigh-high nylons and, well, not much else. Though the key ring pendant she sported couldn’t have been comfortable (to say nothing of the breeze on her butt), the veteran supermodel handled it like the catwalk pro she is.
