According to the Police Public Relations Officer of the state command, DSP Haruna Mohammed, the suspects, a 30-year-old man identified as Nasiru Usman Banki and a lady were arrested over the death of his girlfriend in Bauchi.
He said that the deceased, known as Iklima Alhassan, 28, an indigene of Bukuru village in Plateau State visited her boyfriend, Nasiru who resides in Rafin Makaranta area, behind Awala Hotel in Bauchi.
Haruna said that trouble started when the deceased met another lady known as Fatima Baba Isa, aged 22 of Makera ward in her boyfriend’s apartment, a situation that allegedly resulted in a fight between the two women.
Haruna stated that the deceased’s boyfriend and the other lady arrested are assisting the Police with information that could help to ascertain the cause of her death.
