A Nigerian woman who has been physically abused by her husband for the 10 years they have been married has cried out to Nigerians to help her as she has nowhere to run to. The dehumanized woman, Mary Osagie Eriomokhale, posted her pathetic story on a page on Facebook called Females In Nigeria (FIN), stating how her husband and father of four kids have been battering her for many years and whenever she runs to her father’s house, her father would tell her to go back to her husband as he could not accommodate her. Eriomokhale narrated how her husband has turned her into a punching bag and with no one to help from her family, has decided to take her cries to the public. Read part of her tearful narration here: "First year of my marriage he beat me to a point of death; I ran away to my father's house and he came begging that it will not repeat itself again. Daddy told me he has collected my bride price and he cannot accept me back to the house. He said I should follow my husband. It continued till I had all my four kids as my hubby keeps using me as a punching bag. Where will I go to? My dad will not accept me back to the house because he claimed he had eaten my dowry and so I had to endure. Today again, 2nd of the year 2017, he has resumed his duty as a boxer. I don't anywhere else to go, no one to turn to in times like this." She is now asking if she should take the bull by the horns and run away before she is killed by her violent husband.

if he beat you to death he will marry another woman. your father don't love you enough as a daughter, if not he will not asked you to go back to your husband, seeing your condition so I will advise you to look for any mist possible and leave, and when you are leaving go with your children.

Woman you got to help yourself here. Since your ignorant father don't know what physical and emotional abuse can result to, + the fact that some African police don't believe in putting an abusive husband away so they don't kill their wife, do whatever you can to get yourself and your children out of the mad man house. Also, I hope u were not just a house wife because that is the mistake most African women make that rendered them powerless most of the time, especially in a situation like this. When the abusive man know u have no source of income, no money to take care of yourself and your children should u decide to run away from his abusive self. Lessons to all u married Women get your hand busy... Work. Be independent it will save you if u find yourself in this type of situation.

For you to articulate your pain and worry this satisfactorily means you had some education. Pls "articulate" all the parts of your mental faculty, or as the Yorubas will say: ya are ni brain, and run for your life, that is if it is dear to you. Take your kids with you and run to any church or media organisation for help. Don't be ashamed to ask people for help, pray hard and God will send help your way.
