Quote from: harakiri on 6-09-2010 10:58 PM @Post It all boils down to the guy's personality and the level of understanding between the couples.Personally, i prefer to do my own cooking, washing and cleaning myself and only leave the kitchen duties if my girlfriend insists. That being said, a lot of ladies usually put up their best homely behavior during the dating phase but as soon as they get married, it's a different story. For example, there is this pal of mine that dated a lady for a few years. She was the ultimate "wife material".This girl would clean the house even when it was spotless, wash dishes the minute they finish eating and iron clothes that don't necessarily need ironing.Fast forward into the marriage. . .shortly after child birth, she was always complaining of being in pains or tired from taking care of the child. My pal then decided to get a nanny who handled all cleaning, baby sitting and sometimes cooking from morning till early evening hours.Even at that, she still complains of tiredness but when it comes to gossiping with her friends, a sudden surge of energy comes from no where and they can gossip about a hairbrush for 8 hours non-stop. lol leave that for them because they have the anointing of gossip even when in labour. it is just their destiny any way.

washing of plates does not belong to women alone, sometime men should wash Reply

I don't think I need guts to ask my signigicant other to do the dishes especially when I'm really tired to do it. I don't even need to be tired for him to do the dishes. As long as we live together, compromise is a must. Reply

If a man can go to wash plate in restaurants for a living why should he not be able to do so to keep his kitchen in order and be of help to the wife. Infact a man should be able to wash more than plate ... lol. Reply

Quote from: harakiri on 7-09-2010 01:10 AM Quote from: Abby on 7-09-2010 01:04 AM lol, from a lot of the posts I'm reading on this site I think a few Nigerian men are confusing their wives and girlfriends as maids. ok so a woman cooks for you,you eat, she probably clears the table by herself while you sit down watching T.V and drinking beer ( because thats what maids do right... errm sorry women) and then for whatever reason, she is tired and then ask that you to help with the dishes and you think she should be scolded for that ![]() The unfortunate irony of your post is that you would be the first person to crucify your sister-in-law if she referred to herself as a "maid" for washing dishes. You are the same person that will drag angels from the heavens and uproot demons from hell if a daughter-in-law tried such. Pathetic! NB : When a guy doesn't play his role as the man of the house, he's called a lazy slob/failure in life but when a woman washes dishes, she's now a "maid".How wonderful. These are the "blessings" of feminism. What a pity!
