Nigerian media personality Daddy Freeze has slammed the Yoruba sect of the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood, saying Yomi Fabiyi’s movie, Oko Iyabo, is nothing but an imitation of how low the sect of the industry is.

Recall that Yomi Fabiyi had made a movie mirroring the ongoing alleged molestation saga his colleague Baba Ijesha is currently embattled with. Many, however, find the video offensive as he portrayed that Baba Ijesha and the minor had a consensual affair. Their argument is also based on the fact that the case is still in court and has not been judged yet.

In a live session he held on Instagram, Daddy Freeze wonders how Yomi Fabiyi could have put up a movie in a matter of days, comparing it with an American series, Vikings, a historical fantasy drama television series created and filmed in Ireland. Giving an instance of one scene in the series, Daddy Freeze said it couldn’t have been shot and so perfected in days.

Asking what the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN, especially Jide Kosoko, who had spearheaded the first and only press conference the association held on the case, Aare doing, Daddy Freeze said the movie is only a representation of how the Yoruba sect of the industry works.
