There were emotional scenes on Wednesday night, June 1 after Ukraine beat Scotland 3-1 in a Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier despite it being their first match played since Russia began its invasion on February 24.
The match was initially supposed to be played in March, but had to be delayed because of the ongoing war.
FIFA said it would finally allow the match to be played on Wednesday, and despite the team not meeting to train for months, Ukraine still went ahead to win the match in amazing fashion.

Ukraine went ahead in the first half when Andriy Yarmolenko controlled a long pass to score. Then Roman Yaremchuk doubled their lead in the second half .

However, Callum McGregor pulled one back for Scotland who were seen as pre-march favorites.
Then towards the end of the match, Artem Dovbyk scored after a pass by Manchester City player, Zinchenko.
