Presidential aide, Garba Shehu, has said there is no cause for alarm regarding the health status of the former Nigerian leader, Abdulsalami Abubakar.

Earlier today, reports were rife online that the former Military leader suffered a partial stroke.

In a post shared on his Facebook page, Garba saidthere's no cause for alarm. He stated that the former Nigerian leader was in the hospital but now out. He wrote;

''Alhamdu Lillahi for Allah's mercy.

I just ended a visit to His Excellency Abdulsalami Abubakar, former Head of State. He is out of hospital in a London apartment and apparently in no serious condition. He was his jovial self, maintaining a keen interest in developments back at home in Nigeria. Please, no cause for alarm.''
