Oyelese dares Alao-Akala, picks PDP governorship form

A former Minister of Power and Steel and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State, Elder Wole Oyelese, has picked the party’s governorship nomination form and expression of interest in a bid to become the next governor of the state.


Oyelese is a member of the Yunus Akintunde-led Implementation Committee of the party which is opposed to the second term ambition of the state governor, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala.


In a statement issued by his media aide in Ibadan, the state capital on Sunday, the former minister urged Alao-Akala to gracefully step aside and drop his bid to return to the Government House so that the state could move forward.
