In a recent development, Lagos State Police operatives have made a significant arrest, apprehending Muhammed Tunde and his cohorts for their involvement in assaulting a hotel staff member.

Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the Lagos police, disclosed that Tunde, a dismissed Nigerian Navy personnel since 2000, has been masquerading as an active military officer. Hundeyin revealed that Tunde charges a fee of N20,000 to orchestrate assaults upon request.

Taking to social media platform X, Hundeyin shared details of the arrest on Saturday, April 6, shedding light on the modus operandi employed by Tunde and his associates.

"Dismissed Nigerian Navy personnel, Muhammed Tunde, deceiving people into believing he's still serving, charges N20,000 to deploy his crew for physical assaults," Hundeyin's post read.

The arrest transpired as Tunde and his accomplices were reportedly engaged in assaulting a hotel staff member. The altercation ensued after a hotel patron, who had been reprimanded for smoking in a designated non-smoking area, allegedly contracted Tunde's services to intimidate the staff.

Hundeyin affirmed that legal action will be taken against the perpetrators, emphasizing the gravity of their offense.

The arrest serves as a reminder of the Lagos State Police Force's commitment to upholding law and order, ensuring the safety and security of residents and visitors alike.
