Lagos Police Apprehend Two Individuals With Toy Pistol During Stop & Search Operation

In a recent development, the Lagos State Police Command has arrested two individuals for being in possession of a toy pistol. The arrest was made during a routine stop and search operation conducted by police officers.

According to the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed this via his official X handle, the individuals identified as Kyari Idris, aged 20, and Abubakar Salisu, aged 18, were apprehended near the Agege Railway Police Station.

During the stop and search procedure, law enforcement officers discovered a toy pistol concealed under the seat of the motorcycle ridden by the suspects. Upon being confronted, the individuals reportedly resisted arrest, prompting the officers to call for backup to ensure a safe apprehension.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin emphasized that the investigation into the matter is currently ongoing, indicating the seriousness with which the police command is treating the incident.

The arrest underscores the vigilance of law enforcement authorities in Lagos State in ensuring public safety and maintaining law and order within the community.
