In a distressing turn of events, Lovelyn Onyekachi and her suspected lover, Uchenna Ekwenye, are currently in police custody over allegations of serial segxwal attacks and defilement involving Lovelyn's three children, aged 5, 7, and 9.

According to police reports, the tragic incident unfolded in the commercial town of Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State. Authorities have revealed that the children, unfortunately, did not receive adequate attention from their mother, Lovelyn, creating an opportunity for her partner to commit these heinous acts.

The distressing revelation came to light when concerned neighbors alerted law enforcement after observing unusual behavior and appearances in the children. It was alleged that the mother's lover, referred to as "uncle" by the children, took advantage of their vulnerability, violating them repeatedly when Lovelyn was absent from the home.

Lovelyn Onyekachi reportedly brought her children back to Nigeria from South Africa following marital disagreements with her husband, Paul Onyekachi, a Nigerian pastor based in South Africa. Upon her return, she allegedly formed a romantic relationship with Uchenna Ekwenye, who later became a frequent visitor to their residence.

The arrest, which has sparked nationwide concern, underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgent need for thorough investigation to ensure justice is served. However, a petition submitted by the accused's legal representatives has raised questions about the motives behind the allegations, suggesting a potential custody battle.

While the case has been transferred from Lagos to Abuja for further investigation, authorities emphasize the importance of a meticulous inquiry to uncover the truth amidst conflicting accounts. The Lagos State government has also assured that every effort is being made to ensure justice prevails, although delays in the process have been attributed to ongoing investigations and legal procedures.

In the midst of this harrowing ordeal, the safety and well-being of the children remain paramount, with authorities and concerned parties alike committed to ensuring their protection and delivering justice for the victims.

How did Lagos state come into this? I will not give my judgement until investigation is concluded. The custody battle may bring an unexpected twist.
