I disagree with this post, the trend now is moer of Nigerians in USA and Europe looking for opportunites to return to Nigeria! ReplyI have seen people picking up jobs in Nigeria that has salaries below what they eran inh US here. Very soon, when so many Nigerians in Diaspora return home, those clamoring to leave it for the Diaspora would have no choice but to chill and look around them for what they can do for themselves... ![]()

why are all nigerians actively seeking to leave the country ?!!!!!, is that a legitimate question ? Replythere's just not enough time in one human lifetime to list all the possible reasons a nigerian might have to leave that country. I am reminded of a quote by someone that went,"God has left this land......or its quite possible he was never here in the first place." where to start?....a government so corrupt that if there was a league dedicated to corruption, Nigeria would be consistently topping the premiership A series of head of state so blithely useless, idiotic and breathtakingly moronic, that no matter how much you lowered the bar of common sense, theyd manage to crawl under it. A people so used to the concept of screw other people , cheat other people before they do unto you..... An abominable ugliness that passes for political process where assasination is a legitimate way of resolving political differences A reprehensible, breath-takingly hypocritical, of ass-wipe religious class oligarchs who rob millions of Nigerians of their hard-earned money in God's name...... I could go on and on.....and given my unique perspective as a Nigerian citizen, living in a foreign country, a country that could never be mine, a country I could never love like my own, a country where Im always going to be regarded as an outsider......a country not as naturally blessed as my own.... I must say, if I had one life to give for my country......it would be another person's life.....Nigeria is not worth dying for.....yet

Quote from: orilanda on 4-01-2008 08:37 PM I just came back from Nigeria Last christmas and i have noticed this trend that all Nigerians are looking for a means to leave the country as soon as possible. Instead of trying to help solve the problem the believe it is always greener on the other side and as a result they are all to willing to run and leave. There is nothing like patriotism in Nigeria no one is willing to die for their country or to fight to defend it. I know Nigerian leaders are corrupt but this is not the underlying problem i believe everyone has given up on their country and have decided to abort and leave the country to crumble. Why do u think this trend is happenning? i guess u would have set the example by coming back to stay in nigeria.
