Nollywood star and Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) star, Tobi Bakre and colleague, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya have sparked mixed reactions on social media after the actor surprised the preacher with a visit to his church.
In the viral video, Pastor Jimmy, who was once an actor and the son of the late Pastor Bimbo Odukoya, acknowledged Tobi’s presence and invited him to the altar during the church service.
After being warmly welcomed to the altar, in a surprising moment, Toby lifted Pastor Jimmy off the ground in a playful gesture.
The unexpected act immediately triggered a wave of reactions online, as some found the light-hearted moment charming, while others questioned the appropriateness of such behaviour in a church setting.
Sharing the video via his Instagram page, Pastor Jimmy wrote: “@tobibakre oh My prayer for everyone is that God will carry you like this month in Jesus name !”
The video, which has since gone viral, has drawn a variety of comments from social media users.
Some praised the genuine friendship between the two men while others expressed concerns about the line between reverence and playfulness in a religious setting.
