A woman has taken to social media to reveal the words her estranged father said to her when she was 18 that left her in a state of confusion.

According to her, his statement affected her self-worth.

She explained that he allegedly abused her when she was 13 and when she confronted him about it, he gaslighted her.

Then when she turned 18, she said her father whispered in her ear, "I almost forgot you were my daughter".

She said those words left her doubting her worth for years.
