  how does one woman represent Nigerian women? that can easily be any woman from any nationality... theres nothing Nigerian about it. You knew exactly what you were doing by addressing 'Nigerian women' . I guess unnecessary arguments excites some people.

The 'mere fact' that she is a Nigerian only makes her a Nigerian woman period. Nothing about her alleged double standards is Nigerian. I don't know the complete story and the poster seems to be biased against Nigerian women already but I know one person does not represent everybody .  Different individuals have their have double standards, it is an individual character not a group character. Different individuals from Ghana, America, Singapore ... may have double standard, it does not make all the people from Ghana, America, Singapore ... one thing. Its unfortunate that a lot of us seem to think one person speaks for all, judging by recent posts.  If we go that route we are all terrible people because Nigerian men have horrible stereotypes and Nigerians probably have the worst stereotype as a group of people. If you are going to say all Nigerian women are a certain way, have double standards, lazy and the rest, I can call you a thief, a scammer and the rest... just saying.  When do we start thinking?

Again not all Nigerian women, but for the argument sake lets say all Nigerian Women have a problem with Nigerian men marrying outside their race, lets say every one is the same as their group... First what does that have to do with the double standard you are talking about, is this what you post is about?  you should have make it clear. So Nigerian women have a problem with Nigerian men marrying out... why is that difficult to understand?  People generally marry within their race, culture... and generally marrying out frowned upon more in some areas that others. Some white people want to only marry white people, some Asians want to marry only Asians, some people want to marry only with in their country even with in cities, culture, clans and so on. In Nigerian,  some Yorubas ( dont attack me I picked randomly  and I know not all Yorubas do that ) would only marry Yorubas, and some would only marry Yorubas from a certain state, some would only marry Yorubas from a certain village in that state. Sometimes its because of the negative stereotypes that have of the other people, sometimes its to preserve culture and so on. Why is it difficult to understand that Nigerian women do not like Nigerian men marrying out? its in various groups its not a Nigerian women thing, is it worse when Nigerian women do it. And Nigerian men (if we stereotyping might as well) too have a problem with Nigerian women marrying out, its not just women... that would make it a Nigerian thing
