The unemployment youths who stormed a drinking spot located in Okotie-Eboh Grammar School, in Sapele, Delta State, also shot and killed seven other persons inside the bar for, according to them, committing the same ‘enjoyment offence' like the Bank Manager.
Meanwhile, another version of the story has it that the guys only use that statement as cover for the real motive for their action. A source claimed that the killer-youths were hired by the husband of one of the women who was killed with the men at the bar.
The woman was said to have lied to her husband that she was going to the saloon to make her hair but ended up in the drinking joint with a male lover, living her husband and two kids at home. Consequently, the husband visited the bar with cultists and shot dead his wife, the man dating her and others present.
Police sources in Delta State confirmed the incident but added that their records show that it was five persons that died in the attack and that investigation is ongoing in the matter.
