The corpse of David Kalu, an undergraduate of FUPRE (Federal University of Petroleum, Warri, Delta State) has been found with stab wounds.
A Hostel Manager at the University, William Odiete and two students, Abubakar Ogbebor and Waritoma Tega have been arrested.The victim whose body was found on a Lagoon near the school had reportedly escaped death on two occasions.
Before he was stabbed to death, he had a quarrel with his roommate Kalu Joseph and the matter was reported to the hostel manager.Sources said the manager later led some other workers of the hostel, as well as Waritoma and Ogbebor to the victim's room, forcibly broke into the room, dragged him out and began to flog him.He managed to escape.
Another attempt was made to lynch him, he escaped by scaling the fence of the hostel.His corpse was later found in a nearby lagoon with stab wounds. The deceased was a brilliant 300 Level student of Electrical and Electronics Department of the above university.
