The Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has reportedly submitted names of preferred students to be installed as executives in the Kogi State University Student Union election.

In a letter obtained by Sahara Reporters, signed by the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Ayoade Folashade Arike, the names of the students are listed, as well the positions in which they are to be installed.

The letter was addressed to the university’s Vice Chancellor, and Arike wrote that she was writing on the directive of the state governor Yahaya Bello. She wrote:

I write on the directive of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello to submit to you the names of preferred students who are to fill the elective positions in the forthcoming Student Union Government election in your institution.

The names were “carefully chosen” after a consideration of all the aspirants contesting in the elections, the letter read.
