Governor Seyi Makinde's government is planning to redesign Iwo Road completely and it will require demolition of a mosque, a church and some other buildings to pave way for the construction of a new bus terminal. So Seyi visited Adogba Mosque today to address the Muslim faithfuls who worships in the mosque of government's plan.

Before the government demolish buildings for this brilliant idea, including the mosque and the church, government will relocate them and pay compensation to all the property owners this development will affect.

So at the mosque today, after the Juma’at prayer which the governor participated, the congregation accepted the compensation, relocation and the developmental ideas of the governor. They prayed for him and thanked him for his respect for them. .
This is what inclusiveness means. Seyi is a governor because the people voted for him. He knows that any developmental plan without the people's involvement is retrogressive. If the development is about the people, take the plan to them. No one can politicise a good idea even if a mosque or church building must give way, let those to be affected feel valued and appreciated for the sacrifice they are about to make.

I can't wait to see a new Iwo road without those touts extorting motorists.

Remember, NURTW activities remained banned in Oyo State to date. Seyi has no plan for them, Iwo is finally gone from the grips of the motor park touts and extortionists called UP Road! All those levies now go to the cover of government. .

Again, with Seyi Makinde as Oyo governor, Oyo people are just too lucky. . A grey line in our dark cloud Maiyegun General
