Seventeen out of 24 Britons on a group ski trip in northern Italy ended up testing positive for coronavirus after returning home.

Some of the infected skiers, who live in various parts of the UK, have since passed the potentially deadly illness on to their spouses and family members.

Andrew O'Dwyer and the rest of the group stayed in a chalet in Selva di Gardena, in the Dolomites, between February 22 and 29, the Manchester Evening News reports.

After calling NHS 111 to report a fever, coughing fits and breathing difficulties, two nurses in hazmat suits arrived at Mr O'Dwyer's London home to take swabs on Wednesday.

It has now been confirmed that 17 out of the 24-Britons are currently infected with the bug.

ugh honestly this is annoying already. Are there no other viruses out there? I really miss the everyday life we used to have. I mean I had to stay home cooped up like a criminal for 9 months. It really took it's toll on me, both mentally and physically.
I am honestly kind of over the whole hype and am currently planning a trip to Aspen. I have never actually been to the ski resort there (I usually go to Italy and Switzerland for my skiing) but with the pandemic I have to change my travel destinations to something closer to continental US. What really helped me figure out where I want to go and what I want to do was a really cool website, sort of like a guide on ski resorts. You guys can check it here: bluehouseskis.com I am booked at the end of February for 10 days. I will share how it goes. Hopefully there will be no COVID action there
