Conte has already conceded that neither Dejan Kulusevski (hamstring) nor Richarlison (calf) will be fit for Wednesday, and there are now fears that the former will not be available again before the World Cup.
Spurs were also forced to make do without Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (thigh) and Cristian Romero (calf) for the visit of Newcastle, but both players should be in contention to return from their fatigue-related issues here, and the former is one of three players who are one booking away from a European ban alongside Eric Dier and Rodrigo Bentancur.
Despite the presence of Bryan Gil and Lucas Moura, the latter of whom is still being carefully watched over after a tendon injury, Conte has affirmed that a midfield-heavy formation is the way forward for the time being, and changes in other areas could see Ivan Perisic come back into the fray.
Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup:
Lloris; Sanchez, Romero, Lenglet; Emerson, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Bissouma, Perisic; Kane, Son
Sporting CP
While Sporting number one Adan will now take his rightful place in goal, Esgaio and Goncalves will serve their suspensions here alongside coach Carlos Fernandes, who was also given a red card on matchday four.
Paulinho will likely come in for his first Champions League start of the season alongside Edwards and Francisco Trincao with Goncalves absent, while Pedro Porro's spot on the right is safe as Esgaio sits out.
As well as Daniel Braganca (cruciate ligament) and Luis Neto (knee), Amorim has also confirmed that Sebastian Coates will miss out against Tottenham. With Jeremiah St. Juste's hamstring problem also yet to clear up, 20-year-old Jose Marsa should start at the back.
Sporting Lisbon possible starting lineup:
Adan; Inacio, Marsa, Reis; Porro, Ugarte, Morita, Santos; Trincao, Edwards; Paulinho
Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 Sporting Lisbon
