NPFL: Shooting Stars Shoot Down Plateau United As Insurance Remain Unbeaten

Shooting Stars rallied to beat Plateau United 3-2 in a thrilling Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 11 contest in Ibadan on Wednesday.

Adam Hassan gave Plateau United the lead on 22 minutes. The hosts came back stronger and equalised through Samuel Ayanrinde two minutes before the break. Ayanrinde gave 3SC the lead for the first time in the game four minutes after the break.

Ismail Falke added the third on the hour mark.

Plateau United reduced the deficit deep into stoppage time.

The top two teams in Group A, Bendel Insurance and Akwa United battled to a 1-1 draw at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium , Benin City.

Imade Osehenkhoe put Insurance ahead in the second minute.

Experienced forward, Cyril Olisema levelled scores for the away side in the 34th minute.

Remo Stars recorded the only away win of the day edging out El Kanemi Warriors 2-1 in Maiduguri.
