For the first time in their 31 year marriage, Abiola Ayeni, the wife of Nigerian businessman and former chairman of defunct Skye Bank, Tunde Ayeni has granted an interview and its an explosive one.

In valiant and gallant defence of her husband, Mrs Ayeni reacted to SaharaReporters’ publications over the paternity tussle involving her husband and a female lawyer in Abuja identified as Adaobi Alagwu, she extolled the fatherly virtues of her husband and admonished young Nigerian ladies to ‘marry their own friends, build your home on Christ, not on trust’.

In an interview with Lanre Alfred of ThisDay, Abiola, the wife of billionaire businessman insisted that the husband is not the father of the lawyer’s baby. Despite an earlier statement from Ayeni confirming he was in relationship with Adaobi but it ended in 2019, the wife declared emphatically that “he is no fl!rt.”

It is good to defend your husband but don't say the child is not for your husband. My grandfather once told me that; it is not good for a man to have all his children from one woman and he was correct. I am happier today because I listened and applied his wisdom. Having children outside marriage is better for men who have the money to give his children the best in life.
