CAF African Footballer of the Year, Victor Osimhen has spent his crossover night in Lagos.
The star player was spotted attending a crossover service in a church in Lagos on New Year’s Eve.
To the excitement and applause of the audience in the church, the Super Eagles forward who is now the highest paid Nigerian athlete in the world, attended service, a common act by religious Nigerians to usher in the new year.
Osimhen has been released by his Italian club Napoli for the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire
In the widely shared video on the internet, a smiling Osimhen was seen approaching the pulpit as the congregation cheered and whooped.
Osimhen signed a new contract with Napoli last month. His salary went from €5.5 million per annum (€105,000 per week) to €12 million per annum (€230,000 per week), the 24-year-old is officially Nigeria’s best-paid athlete.
