Hilda Dokubo, the Labour Party Chairman in Rivers State, has been suspended as a member of the party in her ward, Asari Toru Local Government Area.

The suspension was announced in a letter addressed to the Labour Party Chairman of the Asari Toru LGA. The letter was signed by several key figures in the ward, including the Ward Chairman, Mr. Ajalamonia Ibama, the Secretary, Mr. Lole Amacheer, the Treasurer, Mr. Emmanuel Ibamathe, the Women Leader, Mrs. Osaki Dieypiriye, and the Publicity Secretary, Osaki Dokubo.

According to NAN, the 54-year-old actress was suspended on Thursday, after the party’s ward executive committee held an emergency meeting on July 15.

Dokubo was said to have been accused of financial misconduct, abuse of office, and breach of party regulations, among other allegations.

The ward executives said that the decision was made following a thorough investigation into these allegations, saying they reportedly uncovered substantial evidence.

She is yet to respond to the allegations.
