A Nigerian man working as a cleaner in the UK shared his experience of how an African colleague caused his dismissal.
The incident began when he confided in her about his future plans to use the job as a stepping stone for greater opportunities.
The colleague allegedly misinterpreted or misrepresented his statements to their employer, leading to his termination.
Taking to his social media handle the man wrote:
I was working as a cleaner one time.
I told her I was doing my Masters in cybersecurity and I'm only doing this for the main time before getting a job in my field.
She reported me to the manager straight.
The manager came looking for me and told me she doesn't think i can do the job. Las las they chase me away.
We are killing ourselves as Africans
