Tragedy struck in Agbarha community, Delta State, after two individuals lost their lives during a drinking competition, with two others being rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The competition, which was meant to offer a N100,000 prize, saw participants consuming what is believed to be alcohol from full bottles in an attempt to finish it all at once. According to sources, the two contestants who died reportedly collapsed and passed away instantly during the challenge.
Two other participants who were involved in the competition are currently receiving medical attention at a nearby hospital.
As of now, the local police have not issued an official statement regarding the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
